I had to take the El from Market Street to Allegheny for work yesterday and man it truly is heartbreaking to see what is happening there. You get off the train and it really does look like a third world country. Aside from a couple of Septa cops walking around I didn’t see a single city resource around. No police, no homeless outreach, no streets dept., no sanitation dept. etc. It honestly looks like a place you would expect to see U.N. Peacekeepers patrolling.
